The outgoing CAO Namayega hands over office
The outgoing Chief Administrative officer Edith Namayega has today handed over office to the incoming Chief Administrative officer Friday Kyomya.
Namayega handed over following her transfer to Mpigi district local government in late December 2023. She handed to Friday Kyomya from Kalangala District Local government.
Speaking during the handover ceremony held in the Finance and Planning boardroom on Tuesday, Namayega thanked both civil servants and political leaders for the love and support rendered to her while serving the district for the period of three years.
She urged Namayingo community to accord the new CAO the same love and support to enable the district shine more in service delivery.
Friday Kyomya, the incoming Chief Administrative Officer called for teamwork in order to serve the communities better.
“We are sent by God to serve and that’s our task and responsibility. Let our goal be service delivery to the ‘wanaichi’, Kyomya said.
The handover ceremony was witnessed the by the deputy resident commissioner Solomon Trevor Baleke, District Chairperson Ronald Sanya, District executive Committee members, Departmental and sector heads and District internal security officer.
Farewell party
During the farewell party which was held at the district headquarters, Namayega received glowing tributes from civil servants, politicians and community members.
Namayega was celebrated for her achievements and developments in the district including improving the national assessment performance of the district to the 12th position.
The district chairperson Ronald Sanya lauded Namayega for her commitment and hardworking in the district.
Solomon Trevor Baleke, the Deputy Resident District Commissioner, commended her for improving service delivery in the district.
While welcoming the new CAO, Baleke urged him to work with all stakeholders to achieve the district’s mission and vision.
Namayega was given a plaque and other certificates in recognition for her outstanding performance. She was also given a heifer, goats and other gifts.
